The Federal Service for Accreditation (Rosaccreditation), in its clarification dated September 28, 2026, informs that a certification body, if it has doubts about the accuracy of the information submitted to it, has the right to request from the applicant a copy of the customs declaration for goods imported as samples (specimens), and also has the ability to verify the accuracy of the submitted information on the details of such declaration.
Information on the release of goods can be obtained from the customs authorities - directly through the regional customs administration (RTU) or the customs offices that carried out the release of the goods under the customs declaration (except at the level of customs posts). To obtain information on a customs declaration, the certification body may send to the customs authority a request in the standard form approved by Order of the Ministry of Finance of Russia dated 26.08.2020 No. 176n “On Approval of the Administrative Regulations for the Provision by the Federal Customs Service of the State Service for the Provision of Information on the Release of Goods.”
Verification of the accuracy of information on the number of the declaration for products imported as samples (specimens) will enable the certification body to avoid entering inaccurate information into the FGIS of Rosaccreditation when the applicant has provided erroneous (or knowingly false) information, and therefore to prevent a violation.
At the same time, the applicant also has the right to use such a service independently. Important! The service is free of charge. The request must contain the set of information established by the administrative regulations. The response will also be provided in the approved form. The period for reviewing an electronic request is 5 working days; for a written request - 10 working days. In certain cases, this period may be extended.
