On November 23, 2024, the Decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission dated November 24, 2023 No. 137 entered into force, which amended the technical regulations of the Customs Union TR CU 010/2011 "On the safety of machinery and equipment", TR CU 031/2012 "On the safety of agricultural and forestry tractors and trailers to them" and TR CU 032/2013 "On the safety of equipment operating under excessive pressure".
Amendments to TR CU 010/2011 provide for the possibility of installing equipment on machines to power engines using gaseous fuel (CNG, LNG or LPG). At the same time, amendments to the lists of standards required for testing and compliance with safety requirements of TR CU 010/2011, adopted by the Decision of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission dated 08.10.2024 No. 116, came into force. They ensure compliance with the requirements for gas equipment and its components.
Amendments to TR CU 031/2012 provide for the extension of the requirements of this technical regulation to equipment for feeding tractor engines with liquefied natural gas (LNG), as well as to tractors equipped with such facilities. The technical regulation already establishes requirements for feeding tractors with liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and compressed natural gas (CNG).
Amendments to TR CU 032/2013 provide for the exclusion from its scope of application of gas equipment and components specially designed for use on self-propelled vehicles, agricultural and forestry tractors.
The changes that came into force expand the possibilities of using gas as a motor fuel for self-propelled vehicles, agricultural and forestry tractors.
